Lee deBoer, Founding Partner


Lee deBoer is a media veteran with broad experience in television, cable and new media with a unique focus on developing new products and brands. From 1976-1995, Lee deBoer served at Time-Warner's Home Box Office, where he was one of the principal architects of the company's expansion and growth. Mr. deBoer was responsible for the development and launch of Cinemax, The Comedy Channel/Comedy Central, HBO Multiplex, HBO Ole, HBO Hungary, HBO Asia. He managed many key operational areas including scheduling, on-air promotion, research, new media, HBO Enterprises and HBO International. He was Executive Vice President, HBO; President, HBO International and also President of Time-Warner International Broadcasting, before he established Media Futures, a multi-media consultancy in 1995. In 1997, deBoer was recruited to be CEO of New Century Network, the venture established by the nine largest newspaper companies to build a national network on the Internet. He also served as CEO of Automatic Media, an Internet media and software company.

Daniel Rayner, Founding Partner

Daniel Rayner, founding partner of Rayner Rowe LLP, has practiced law in London and New York for 20 years with a particular focus on representing media, T.V. production, digital cable, online, advertising and technology companies. Mr. Rayner counsels public and private companies at varying stages of growth, from start-up through mature public company, as well as private equity funds, in transactions that have ranged from seed financing's through billion dollar cross-border public takeover, buyout, venture and M&A transactions. Mr. Rayner's media clients include some of Europe's leading leading independent suppliers of T.V. programs to broadcasters, digital cable networks in the U.S. and Europe and one of the world~Rs leading soccer teams.


C.J. Kettler, Founding Partner

C.J. Kettler is a media industry veteran with broad operating and investment experience. Most recently, she served as Operating Executive and Managing Director at Solera Capital, a private equity firm with $250 million under management. She was Co-President of Latina Magazine, one of Solera’s portfolio companies, and also evaluated investment opportunities in the media industry.

As President of Sales and Marketing at Oxygen, Ms. Kettler managed all cross platform integrated marketing relationships as well as TV and online sponsorship sales, cable affiliate sales and research.

Ms. Kettler came to Oxygen after more than ten years as a Partner of Sunbow Entertainment, a top ranked independent program supplier, where, as President and CEO, she negotiated the sale of the company to Sony Music Entertainment.

Prior to Sunbow, Ms. Kettler amassed nearly 10 years’ experience in both domestic and international television programming in executive positions at Vestron, where she created and developed the Children’s Video Library, MTV Networks, McCann-Erickson Inc. where she was a Vice President, and at CBS, Inc.

Ms. Kettler holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from Smith College. She is a member of CTAM, WICT, and other industry organizations.


Harry Chandler, Advisor

Harry Chandler is senior media executive with a diverse background: from print to broadcasting; from film to the Internet. He has experience in such areas as: launching and running new businesses, strategic planning, marketing & sales, partnerships and acquisitions, and product development and International. His most recent work experience was at Overture Services, the leading Internet search engine advertising network, where he served as the as the Executive Vice-President with responsibilities for new business development, acquisitions, strategy, international, and affiliate distribution. Prior to that, Harry ran new business development at the Los Angeles Times, where he helped launch and manage latimes.com, Hollywood.com, Calendarlive.com, and investments into WebTV, PointCast, and CitySearch. Prior to these Internet roles, Mr. Chandler worked for Hearst Entertainment, CBS network, Showtime, and 20th Century Fox. Harry is a graduate of Phillips Academy (Andover), Stanford University (B.A.) and attended the UCLA’s Anderson Business School and Graduate School of Motion Pictures and Television. He has served on various boards of public and private companies.
